Pudding cake is preferred over normal dry cake because of its moist feel and softness. Pudding cakes are a mix of regular cakes and puddings which have been in demand for quite some time.
Making Pudding Cake
A rack needs to be placed in the middle of a pre-heated oven and the baking pan well greased by either a piece of a parched paper or spraying cooking oil. Flour, dry pudding mix, salt and baking powder should be put in a bowl. In a separate bowl, milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and sugar should be mixed well along with the egg whites blended well with the electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. The mixture needs to be added to the flour and dry pudding mix and the whole mix should be put in a baking pan. The oven needs to be pre-heated to 350 degrees and the mixture baked for 30 to 35 minutes. By inserting a tooth-pick into the cake pudding it can be found out if it is done or not; the tooth-pick should come out clean.
