Icebox cake is a dessert preparation that is made using chocolate wafers and whipped cream. Also, referred to as zebra cake due to its appearance, the icebox cake is made by placing stacks of chocolate wafers alternated with layers of whipped cream, which is then placed in a refrigerator. Once the wafers absorb moisture from the cream, the icebox cake can be sliced at 45 degree angles and served. There is no cooking process required for the icebox cake.
