|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
1.Start by preheating the oven to 350F degrees.
2.In a bowl, cream shortening, add half the sugar gradually; cream until fluffy; beat in yolks 1 at a time.
3.Stir in sifted dry ingredients alternately with liquid.
4.Beat whites until soft peaks form; gradually beat in rest of sugar; fold into batter.
5.Pour into 2 (9 inch) round layer pans, greased and lined.
6.Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
7.Serve ice cream
