|Orange||1 , grated rind|
|Cake flour||3 Cup (48 tbs), sifted|
|Baking powder||4 Teaspoon|
|Orange juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1.Start by preheating the oven to 350F degrees
2.In a bowl, cream shortening, add sugar gradually, creaming until light and fluffy.
3.Add well beaten eggs in thirds, beating well after each addition.
4.Add orange rind.
5.Sift dry ingredients together 3 times and add alternately with liquids to creamed mixture.
6.Pour into cake pans lined with waxed paper.
7.Bake in a moderate oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
8.Serve with ice cream
