Graham Cracker Cream Cake

The graham cracker cream cake is a cracker crumb and flour mixed cake flavored with almond extract. Prepared with milk, sugar, eggs and shortening, the graham cracker cream cake can be filled with a cream filling and frosted if desired.
Ingredients
  Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2 Small, beaten
  Cake flour 1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Graham cracker crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Almond extract 1 Teaspoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 350F degrees
MAKING
2.In a bowl, cream shortening, add sugar gradually; cream until fluffy; add eggs in thirds, beating well after each addition
3.Sift flour, baking powder and salt together, add crumbs, and stir into first mixture alternately with milk and extract
4.Pour into 2 (8 inch) round layer pans, greased and lined
5.Bake in the oven for 25 minutes
6.Fill with Cream Filling and frost top and sides with butter frosting
SERVING
7.Serve with a creamy dip
