Spice Marble Cakes
|Cake flour||2 Cup (32 tbs), sifted|
|Baking powder||3 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 Small, well beaten|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
1.Start by preheating the oven to 350F degrees
2.In a bowl, sift flour with baking powder and salt.
3.Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
4.Add eggs and beat thoroughly.
5.Add sifted dry ingredients and milk alternately in small amounts, beating well after each addition.
6.Divide batter into 2 parts.
7.To one part add spices and molasses.
8.Drop by tablespoons into fluted paper baking cups, alternating light and dark mixtures.
9.Bake in moderate oven for 25 minutes.
10.Cool and frost.
11.Serve with ice cream
