|Cake flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sifted|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Nut meats||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
1.Start by preheating the oven to 350F degrees
2.In a bowl, cream shortening, add half the sugar gradually; cream until fluffy; beat in yolks 1 at a time
3.Sift flour and baking powder; stir in alternately with liquid.
4.Beat whites until soft peaks form; gradually beat in rest of sugar; fold into batter with nuts.
5.Pour into 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pan, greased and lined.
6.Bake in the oven for 50 minutes.
7.Serve with cream
