Old Fashioned Crumb Cake
|Shortening/Butter||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|White sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Sour milk||1 Cup (16 tbs) (add 1/2 teaspoon vinegar to ordinary milk)|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cream together shortening and sugar; add flour and mix until crumbly.
Reserve 1 cup crumble.
To remaining crumble, add egg and soured milk, soda and cinnamon.
Fold in raisins.
Pour into greased 8x8 inch pan.
Sprinkle cup of reserved crumble over top.
Bake at 350Â°F for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
