Caramel Nut Cake

Ingredients
  Flour 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Baking powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter/Soft margarine 125 Gram, softened
  Eggs 2
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Chopped walnuts/Chopped pecans 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sifted icing sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Sift flour, salt, baking powder and sugar into a bowl. Add butter, eggs, milk and vanilla and beat vigorously until well blended. Fold in nuts. Spoon into a greased and bottom- lined 23 x 33cm cake tin. Bake cake in a preheated moderate oven 180C (350F) for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack, then dust with icing sugar. Cut into squares to serve.
