Double Orange Cake
|Cake mix||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Swift'Ning Make Your Own)|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , well beaten|
|Buttermilk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Wash and dry orange.
Squeeze juice and save it.
Grind the orange rind and raisins.
Combine the Mix, 1/2 cup sugar, and soda.
Stir in the orange rind and raisins.
Add eggs and buttermilk and mix thoroughly.
Turn into a square pan (8x8x2 inches) (bottom rubbed with Swift'ning), and bake in a moderate oven.
Combine orange juice and sugar.
Stir to dissolve sugar.
Pour over hot cake.
Baking temperature: 350Â° F.
Bake: About 30 minutes.
