Orange Cake

This orange cake recipe is a simple but delicious one. Prepared with grated orange rind and orange juice, the orange cake is baked with a batter of milk, flour, sugar, egg, butter and baking agents. Served as desserts or tea time snack it is light and lavorful.
Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1 (Unbeaten)
  Orange juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sour milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  All purpose flour 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs), sifted
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly, add egg and beat well.
Add grated orange rind and orange juice.
Then add milk alternately with flour, baking soda and baking powder sifted together.
Bake in a greased 8 x 8 inch pan at 350F for 45 minutes.
