|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
Beat the egg whites in a mixing bowl until stiff peaks form.
Cream the shortening and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy; beat in the egg yolks.
Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together.
Add to the creamed mixture alternately with a mixture of the milk and vanilla, beating well after each addition.
Fold in the egg whites.
Spoon into a greased and floured bundt pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
