Grandma's Spotted Cake
|White cake mix||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chocolate cake mix||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter||3 Tablespoon, melted|
|Confectioner's sugar||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chocolate chips||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Prepare the cake batter using the directions on the packages, using a separate bowl for each flavor.
Drop large tablespoons of the white cake batter in a checkerboard pattern into a greased 12x18 inch cake pan.
Drop large tablespoons of the chocolate cake batter in the holes left by the white cake batter.
Draw a knife through the batter several times in each direction until the top looks like marble.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until edges begin to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Combine the butter, confectioners' sugar and enough milk to make of a spreading consistency in a bowl; mix well.
Frost the cooled cake with the butter frosting and sprinkle with the chocolate chips.
