|Baking soda||1⁄4 Teaspoon|

|Sugar/Lard||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Buckwheat honey/Other strong honey||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Cream together butter, sugar, egg, and honey.
Combine with flour mixture and mix well.
Add almonds, knead 1 minute, and form into two 7inch long rolls.
Wrap each roll in waxed paper and chill 2 hours.
Remove dough from waxed paper, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices, and place on greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350Â°F 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
