Chocolate Macaroon Cake

Ingredients
  All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Unsweetened cocoa 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Shortening 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Buttermilk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Macaroon filling 2 Teaspoon
  Chocolate frosting 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Grease bottom only of oblong baking dish, 10 x 6 x 1 1/2 inches.
Blend all ingredients except Macaroon Filling and Chocolate Frosting in large mixer bowl on low speed, scraping bowl constantly.
Beat 3 minutes on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Pour batter evenly into baking dish.
Spoon Macaroon Filling onto batter by teaspoonfuls.
Microwave uncovered 5 minutes; turn dish one-half turn.
Microwave until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 3 to 4 minutes.
(Parts of the cake will appear very moist, but these parts will continue to cook while standing.)
Cool thoroughly; frost with Chocolate Frosting.
