Pound Cake Variations
Prepare 1 package (16 ounces) golden pound cake mix as directed except try one of the following variations:
Chocolate Nut: Stir in 2 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate, grated, and 1/2 cup nuts.
Fruit Nut: Stir in 1/2 cup finely chopped mixed candied fruit and 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts.
Lemon: Stir in 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel.
Pecan: Stir in 1 cup finely chopped pecans.
Raisin Nut: Stir in 1/2 cup finely chopped raisins and 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
