Shrewsbury Cake is an amazingly delicious cake recipe. The effortlessly prepared cake is a dish that you would love to serve at your party.
Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Pound
  Eggs 3
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Sifted flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
Directions

Cream butter and sugar well.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating for 5 minutes after each addition.
Add flour and baking powder alternately with the milk.
Add vanilla.
Bake in a tube pan for 1 hour in a 350 degree oven.
Test for doneness with a toothpick.
This sugar crusted cake needs no frosting.
