Applesauce Cake

Applesauce cake is a delcious and spicy cake made with applesauce and flavored with spices like cinnamon and nutmeg along with cloves. Filled with goodies like raisins and walnuts, this cake is filling and a real hit especially with children.
Ingredients
  Sifted flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Applesauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Walnuts 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Heat oven to 350°.
Grease and flour a 9 x 9 pan.
Sift dry ingredients together into large mixing bowl.
Add raisins.
Put remaining ingredients, except nuts, into Osterizer container, cover and process at MIX until smooth.
Stop Osterizer Blender, add nuts, cover and CYCLE/CHOP nuts.
Add to dry ingredients and mix well.
Pour into prepared pan and bake 35 to 45 minutes.
