Pour 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine in a 9 x 13 inch pan.
Spread 1 cup packed brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
Position pineapple rings on top of brown sugar.
Place a maraschino cherry in the center of each ring.
Pour Golden Cake batter over all.
Bake in a 350°F.
Oven for 45 minutes.
Invert cake, and serve warm with whipped cream.
