|Brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Whole wheat flour||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Barley flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cooking oil||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Combine the dry ingredients in Bosch mixing bowl.
Break egg into a 1 cup measuring cup, and add enough cooking oil to measure 1/2 cup.
Add milk, and stir with a fork to combine.
Combine liquid and dry ingredients, and stir well.
Season to taste with almond or lemon flavoring or nutmeg.
Pour into a wellgreased and floured 9 inch round cake pan.
Bake in a 350Â° F. oven for 30 minutes or until cake tests done.
Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan.
Cake may be frosted; served with a warm caramel, chocolate, or lemon sauce; or used for strawberry shortcake.
NOTE: Recipe may be doubled to fill a 9 x 13 inch pan.
