Moonlight Mellow Chocolate Cake
|German chocolate cake mix||16 Ounce (Pillsbury Plus)|
|Prepared mashed potatoes||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened (Parkay)|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Margarine/Butter||1 Tablespoon (Parkay)|
|Powdered sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sifted|
Heat oven to 350Â°F.
Grease and flour 10-inch tube or 12-cup fluted tube pan.
In large bowl, blend cake mix, cinnamon, nutmeg, potatoes, margarine, water and eggs at low speed until moistened.
Beat 2 minutes at highest speed; stir in nuts.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 350Â°F. for 40 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool upright in pan 25 minutes; invert onto serving plate.
In small saucepan, blend chocolate chips, 1 tablespoon margarine and milk over low heat until chocolate melts, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; stir in powdered sugar until smooth.
If needed, add a few more drops of milk for desired consistency.
Spoon over top of cake, allowing some to run down sides
