Hot Water Sponge Cake

Ingredients
  Eggs 2
  Baking powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Pastry flour 7⁄8 Cup (14 tbs)
  Hot water 3⁄8 Cup (6 tbs)
  Lemon extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Make like Four Egg Sponge Cake, adding hot water when half of sugar has been beaten into egg yolks.
Bake at 320° F. for 25 to 40 min., depending on shape of pan.
