Chocolate Cake (Eggless)
|Condensed milk||200 Gram|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon (Leveled)|
|Bicarbonate of soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Self rising flour||125 Gram|
|Chocolate powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Melted butter/Margarine||60 Milliliter|
|Vanilla essence||1 Teaspoon|
Sieve the flour, cocoa, chocolate powder, baking powder and soda bi-carb together.
Mix the condensed milk, flour, 75 ml. (2 1/2 fl. oz.) water, vanilla essence and melted butter thoroughly.
Grease and dust a 150 mm. or 175 mm. (6" or 7") diameter tin.
Pour the cake mixture into the prepared tin.
Bake in a hot oven at 400Â°F. for 10 minutes. Thereafter, reduce the temperature to 350 Â°F. and bake for a further 15 minutes. Cool the cake and divide into two horizontally.
Proceed for icing and decoration the same way as for chocolate cake using eggs, page 149.
