Prune Coffee Cake

Ingredients
  Soft butter 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Sifted all purpose flour 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 2 Teaspoon
  Buttermilk/Sour milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Chopped cooked prunes 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter 3 Tablespoon
  Chopped walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Grease an oblong cake pan, 13 X 916 X 2 inches.
Beat 1/3 cup butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar and egg together until fluffy.
Sift 2 cups flour, baking powder, soda, salt and nutmeg together and add to first mixture alternately with buttermilk or sour milk.
Stir in prunes.
Spoon into prepared pan and spread evenly.
Combine 1/4 cup flour, 16 cup brown sugar, 3 tbsp. melted butter and nuts to make a crumbly mixture and sprinkle over batter.
Bake about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
Serve warm cut in large squares.
