Buttermilk Brownies (Cake Type)

  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Water 2 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cocoa 2 Tablespoon
  Buttermilk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Eggs 1
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

Sift dry ingredients together. Bring water to a boil; add butter and cocoa; add to dry ingredients. Add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, and nuts. Mix well. Pour into buttered pans and bake 15 minutes or until set. Cool in pan; frost.
