Easy Poppy Seed Cake
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Canned poppy seed||2 Ounce|
Cream butter, margarine, sugar and egg yolks in large mixing bowl.
Combine sour cream and soda.
Add sour cream mixture, flour, vanilla and poppy seed; mix well.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Fold egg whites into batter; pour into ungreased tube pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Cool inverted over cake plate; cake will drop.
