Nutmeg Feather Cake
|Eggs||3 , beaten|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Buttermilk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Confectioner' s sugar||1 (as required)|
Cream butter and shortening; add sugar gradually, creaming until light.
Add vanilla and eggs; beat until light and fluffy.
Sift dry ingredients together; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition.
Pour into greased pan.
Bake in 350-degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tests done.
Sift confectioners' sugar over cake.
