Bourbon Peach Pound Cake

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Pound
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Eggs 4
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), sifted
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Almond extract 1 Teaspoon
  Bourbon 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Pecan halves 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1) Into a bowl, cream the butter and 1 cup of sugar till light and fluffy
2) Add the yolks one at a time and beat well after each addition
3) Add in the flour, alternatively with bourbon beating to get a smooth batter
4) Into a another bowl, beat the egg whites till stiff using an electric beater
5) Mix in the remaining cup of 1/2 cup of sugar to thaw egg whites
6) Fold the batter into the whites
7) Onto a greased 9 inch tube or bundt pan pour in the batter and then bake at 350 F for 60 to 70 minutes
8) Allow to cool in the pan and turn onto a wire rack

SERVING
9) Serve into wedges and serve with a curlicue of cream
