Chocolate Maraschino Cherry Cake

Ingredients
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄4 Pound
  Eggs 2
  Baking chocolate square 2 , melted and cooled
  Cocoa 1 Tablespoon
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Maraschino cherries 16 , quartered
  Maraschino cherry juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cake flour 1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs), sifted
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1) Into a bowl cream the butter and sugar together
2) Add in the eggs one at a time and beat after each addition
3) Add in the chocolate and cocoa
4) Into a separate bowl, stir in the baking powder, sour cream
5) Add to it the cherries
6) Add salt to the flour
7) Beat in the flour and the cherry juice alternatively with the creamed mixture and then mix in the baking powder and sour cream mixture
8) Pour into a greased 9 x 12 inch baking pan and bake at 350 F for 35 minutes

FINALIZING
9) Once the cake is cooled, frost with some chocolate glace if you like or serve as it is.

SERVING
10) Cut into wedges and serve
