Fresh Orange Cake

Ingredients
  Cake flour 3 Cup (48 tbs), sifted
  Baking powder 3 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Soft shortening 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Eggs 3
  Orange rind 1 Tablespoon, grated
  Orange juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened
  Orange rind 2 Teaspoon, grated
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Egg yolk 1
  10x confectioners' powdered sugar 7 Pound, sifted (7 package)
  Orange juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2) Lightly grease two 9X1 1/2-inch layer cake pans and dust with flour.
3) In a small bowl, place together butter or margarine, orange rind, salt and egg yolk.
4) Using an electric hand blender, beat the butter mixture at medium speed until well blended.
5) Stir in sugar alternately with orange juice, until the mixture is of spreading consistency.

MAKING
6) In a bowl, sift flour, baking powder, and salt, set aside.
7) In a large bowl, place together sugar, shortening, eggs and orange rind.
8) Using an electric hand blender, beat the sugar mixture for 3 minutes
9) Add in flour mixture alternately with orange juice and milk, beating after each addition until batter is smooth.
10) Remove the batter into prepared pans.
11) Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
12) Place the pans on wire racks and allow to cool the layers for 10 minutes.

FINALIZING
13) Using a knife loosen the edges and turn out the cakes on racks.
14) Allow to cool completely.
15) To make the frosting, in a small bowl, place together butter or margarine, orange rind, salt and egg yolk. Using an electric hand blender, beat the butter mixture at medium speed until well blended. Stir in sugar alternately with orange juice, until the mixture is of spreading consistency.
16) Place the cake layers together with orange butter cream frosting.
17) Spread the frost side and top with remaining frosting.

SERVING
18) Cut into wedges and serve.
