Ingredients
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , well beaten
  Sour milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs), sifted
  Sifted flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Soda 2 Teaspoon (1 Heaping Teaspoon)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Cocoa 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs), dissolved in boiling water
  Cocoa 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs), dissolved in1/2 cup boiling water
  Boiling water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (For Dissolving The Cocoa)
Directions

Cream butter, add sugar, then well beaten eggs and sour milk.
Dissolve soda in a little hot water and add.
Then add dissolved cocoa, flour and vanilla.
Beat well.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes in moderately hot oven.
