Prune Cake

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 3
  Cooked prunes 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Prune juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Chopped nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time and beat well after each addition.
Add chopped prunes and mix.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with prune juice - also nuts.
Bake in 8 x 8 x 2 pan at 325-350.
Frost if desired and serve.
