Classic Marble Cake

If you enjoy baking a different kinds of cakes then you must try the eggless marble cake. I'm sure vegetarians will love this. Marble cake is a combination of vanilla and chocolate. Chef Bhavna shows this quick and easy recipe. Watch the video before trying it at home.

Ingredients

Condensed milk 400 Gram ((Milkmaid))
Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs) ((250 Gram))
Sugar 2 Tablespoon
Butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , softened ((125 Gram))
Baking powder 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Soda bicarbonate 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Vanilla essence 2 Teaspoon
Milk 250 Milliliter ((1 Cup))
Cocoa powder 1 Tablespoon

Directions

Grease cake baking trays.

Sieve flour, baking powder and soda - bi - carb together. Keep aside.

Mix condensed milk, butter, sugar and vanilla essence.

Add milk and mix.

At this point, preheat oven to 150 *C or 300 * F.

Add flour gradually, mixing well after each addition. Beat well for 3 - 4 minutes till the mixture is light and fluffy.

Divide batter into 2 parts. To one part add cocoa powder and mix well.

Put half of the plain mixture in half side of the cake baking tray. In the other empty half, put half the chocolate mixture. Swirl a spoon lightly in the mixture to get the marble effect. You can create swirl however you like.

Now, put the leftover plain mixture on the chocolate mix and the chocolate one on the plain mixture. Swirl a spoon again.

Smoothen the top and bake at 150 * C or 300 * F for 45 minutes to 1 hour.(Oven may be vary, so check after 30minutes to make sure cake is baking perfectly fine)

Insert a clean knife in the centre of the cake. If it comes out clean, switch off the oven. Remove from oven after 5 minutes.
