Chocolate Fudge Cake
|Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Canned chocolate syrup||1 Pound|
|Sifted flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Heavy cream||1⁄2 Pint|
|Instant coffee||1 Teaspoon|
Cream margarine and sugar until fluffy.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add 1/2 cup chocolate syrup.
Sift flour with baking powder; stir into sugar mixture.
Add remaining chocolate syrup, vanilla and walnuts; mix well.
Pour into greased 9 x 12-inch loaf pan or a 1 1/2-quart tube pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes; cool.
Mix whipped cream, instant coffee and honey; spread on cake.
