|White cornmeal||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Boiling water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1 In a medium size bowl combine cornmeal and salt.Stir in boiling water and then milk.
2 In a heated well-greased frying pan or onto a griddle, drop the batter, a heaping tablespoonful at a time and spread into a 3-inch round. Fry for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the underside is golden; turn and brown the other side. Repeat withthe remaining batter, grease the pan before each cake.
3 Serve hot with melted butter or margarine and maple syrup.
