Fruited Applesauce Cake

Ingredients
  Butter 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Unsweetened applesauce 2 Cup (32 tbs), warm
  Soda 2 Teaspoon
  Sour milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cocoa 1 Tablespoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Applesauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1 Teaspoon
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Mixed candied fruit 1 Pound
  Candied cherries 1⁄4 Pound, halved
  Chopped nuts 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sifted flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Cocoa 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Ground cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Cream butter; add applesauce, mixing well.
Dissolve soda in sour milk; add to applesauce mixture.
Sift dry ingredients together; blend into applesauce mixture.
Dredge fruits and nuts with additional flour; add to batter, stirring well.
Turn into tube pan.
Bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
