Coffee Cake Muffins
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Butter||2 Tablespoon, melted|
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Combine first 5 ingredients, set aside.
Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
Cut in shortening to resemble coarse crumbs.
Combine egg and milk.
Add all at once to flour mixture, stir just until moistened.
Line muffins tins with paper cups.
Spoon in small amount of batter.
Top with layer of nut mixture.
Repeat layers, filling pans 2/3 full.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
