This deliciously baked sandwich cakes are perfect to go for a tea-time snack or a dessert. Try out this quick and simple recipe with the flavors that catch your fancy!
Ingredients
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Cream of tartar 2 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Soda bicarbonate 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

1/2 -lb.
OURMIX and pinch salt sifted together.
Rub in 4 oz.
castor sugar and 2 oz.
butter.
Mix with 1 cup milk, to which has been added 1 tspn, flavouring essence (any flavour you fancy).
Bake in two greased and floured tins (7-inch*) at 375° F for 25 - 30 minutes.
