Feather Spice Cake

Delight in this feather spice cake, made flavorsome with cinnamon, cloves and molasses. A great way to add spicy touch to your desserts!
Ingredients
  Pastry flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Ground mace 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Cold water 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Pinch
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Ground cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Molasses/Treacle 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (or syrup)
Directions

Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder, salt and spices and sift together three times.
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly until light and fluffy.
Add cold water and mix until light.
Then add molasses and blend well.
Add flour mixture alternately with milk — a small amount at a time.
Beat after each addition until smooth.
Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 375° F for about one hour — OR bake in two greased and floured 9-inch layer pans for 25 - 30 minutes.
