|Vegetable oil||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Buttermilk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Unbleached white flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Whole wheat pastry flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped pitted prunes||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Beat well egg whites, oil, buttermilk, vanilla and brown sugar.
Stir in flours, baking soda and spices.
Fold in prunes.
Pour into a 7"x 11" lightly greased pan.
Bake at 350° for 22 minutes.
Let cake cool for 5 minutes.
Pierce cake at one inch intervals with toothpick and pour glaze over.
Cool before serving.
