Make Ahead Upside Down Cake

|Canned sliced peaches||17 Ounce, drained|

|Sifted cake flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Soft shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
Melt butter in 9- or 10-inch cake pan.
Sprinkle sugar evenly over butter.
Arrange peach slices and cherries in attractive pattern on top of sugar; sprinkle with nuts.
