Healthy Banana Cake
|Sifted flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Buttermilk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Bananas||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs) (3 Large)|
|Granulated sugar||1 2⁄3 Cup (26.67 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Eggs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (2 Large)|
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour two 8-inch cake pans or one 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Cream sugar and shortening.
Blend in eggs.
Add sifted dry ingredients, alternately with first 1/3 cup buttermilk.
Mash bananas and add along with remaining milk and nuts, if desired; mix.
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30-40 minutes.
