Apple Cake with Nut Topping
|Cooking oil||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Sugar||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Soda||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped apples||3 Cup (48 tbs) (With Peelings)|
|Light brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (1 Stick)|
|Orange juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Mix oil, sugar, and eggs and blend well.
Add dry ingredients and vanilla by hand.
Blend in nuts and apples.
Spoon batter into a well-greased tube or bundt pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Remove from oven and pour topping over cake.
Return cake to oven and bake 15 minutes more.
Cool on wire rack.
Slide knife around cake to loosen.
For topping- Cook over low heat for 3 minutes after the mixture starts boiling.
Pour over cake and continue as directed.
