|Milk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Melted shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Sifted flour||3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)|
|Baking powder||3 Teaspoon|
Beat the eggs and 2/3 cup sugar in a bowl until light.
Add milk and shortening and mix well.
Sift the flour, baking powder, salt, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and nutmeg together.
Add to the egg mixture and mix well.
Roll out 3/8 inch thick on a lightly floured surface and cut with floured doughnut cutter.
Let stand for 15 minutes.
Fry in deep fat at 375 degrees until brown, turning once.
Drain on paper towels.
Shake in a bag containing 1/2 cup sugar and remaining cinnamon.
