Basic Eggless Cake
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon (Soda Bicarb)|
|Vanilla essence||1 Teaspoon|
|Milk powder||4 Tablespoon|
Sieve flour, baking powder and soda bicarb together.
Beat sugar and butter together for 5-7 minutes in a large mixing bowl.
Add milk and milk powder to sugar and butter.
Beat again for 5-7 minutes.
Add vanilla essence.
Add flour to butter and sugar a little at a time and beat for another 5-7 minutes.
Grease a baking dish and pour the mixture into it.
Bake in a preheated oven at 160° C for 35-40 minutes.
Insert a knife in the centre.
If it comes out clean, cake is ready.
If not, bake for another 5-10 minutes and remove from the tin.
