Chocolate Walnut Cake
|Chocolate cake mix||18 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Coarsely chopped walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Milk||14 Ounce (1 Can, Not Evaporated Milk)|
|Unsweetened chocolate square||1 Ounce (2 Squares)|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Prepare cake mix as package directs, adding 1/2 cup nuts.
Bake according to package directions for 13x9-inch cake.
In heavy saucepan, over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate and salt.
Cook and stir until chocolate melts and mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in water and vanilla; cool.
Spread on cake.
Garnish with remaining nuts.
