Sieve flour and baking powder together.
Powder the sugar.
Put sugar and eggs in a large mixing bowl.
Beat with a spoon till thick frothy and turns whitish.
Add liquid milk and vanilla essence.
Add flour slowly little by little and beating in one direction only.
Beat for 10-15 minutes till light in texture.
Take a round tin.
Pour the mixture into it.
Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for 35 to 40 minutes Insert a Knife in the centre.
If it comes out clean the cake is ready, otherwise bake for another 5 to 10 minutes.
Cool it for 10 minutes and remove from the tin.
