Chocolate Pear Upside Down Cake

Ingredients
  Chocolate cake mix 18 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Package)
  Semi-sweet chocolate chips 6 Ounce (1 Package)
  Margarine/Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Canned milk 14 Ounce (Not Evaporated Milk, 1 Can)
  Salt 1 Dash
  Vanilla extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Hot water 2 Tablespoon
  Pears 3 , pared, cored and sliced
  Finely chopped nuts 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
Directions

Preheat oven to 350°.
Prepare cake mix as package directs; set aside.
Meanwhile, in heavy saucepan, over medium heat, melt chips and margarine with sweetened condensed milk and salt.
Cook and stir until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat; add vanilla and water.
Reserve 1 cup chocolate mixture.
Arrange pears on bottom of greased 13x9-inch baking dish; sprinkle with nuts.
Drizzle with reserved 1 cup chocolate mixture.
Pour cake batter over chocolate.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.
Invert cake onto large serving tray; let stand 5 minutes.
Remove baking dish.
Cool.
Serve with remaining chocolate sauce.
Refrigerate leftovers.
MICROWAVE: In 1-quart glass measure, combine chips, margarine, sweetened condensed milk and salt.
Microwave on full power (high) 2 1/2 to 3 minutes, stirring after each minute.
