Fragrant Rice Cakes
|Rice krispies||5 Ounce (140 Grams)|
|Sugar||4 Ounce (115 Grams)|
|Sesame oil||1 Teaspoon|
|Sesame seeds||4 Teaspoon|
|Sesame oil||2 Teaspoon (For Oiling The Tin And Hands)|
Oil a square baking tin 33 x 25 cm (13 x 10 in) with sesame oil and put in the Rice Krispies.
Put the sugar, honey, water, vinegar and sesame oil in a thick-bottomed pan and bring to the boil.
Simmer until the mixture is thick and coats the back of a spoon evenly -about 5 minutes.
Pour the syrup over the Rice Krispies and immediately start working the syrup into them with the hands, which should also be oiled with sesame oil.
When all the rice has been well-coated, flatten the mixture in the tin and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Allow to cool and then slice into cakes.
