Grocer's Goo Cake
|Digestive biscuits||100 Gram|
|Glazed cherries||50 Gram|
|Canned condensed milk||196 Gram (1 can)|
Put the biscuits into a polythene bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
Tip them into a mixing bowl.
Using a small sharp knife cut the walnuts and cherries roughly into quarters.
Add the nuts, cherries and marshmallows to the bowl.
Put the butter and condensed milk into a small saucepan and put over a very low heat to melt the butter.
Pour this into the dry ingredients and mix together with a wooden spoon.
Cut a piece of foil approximately 25 x 18 cms and sprinkle oats over this.
The mixture is very 'gooey' at this stage but tip it on to the oats and shape it into a fat sausage, covered with the oats.
Wrap the foil around the mixture securely and put it in a freezer for an hour.
Serve sliced and keep the goo cake, wrapped in the foil, in the refrigerator.
